Meet Marla Moore

Marla Moore has over 25 years of employment law experience, almost 17 of which were spent as an in-house labor and employment lawyer managing a host of issues for a major multi-national oil and gas company. By leveraging her significant experience in the corporate world, she now runs her own successful practice focusing primarily on workplace training and investigations. Her clients include companies, non-profits, and governmental institutions.

A large part of Marla’s practice includes training executives, managers, and employees on a range of labor and employment and HR topics. She is a seasoned investigator, having conducted numerous and often complicated internal investigations for her clients over the years.

Marla graduated from Southwestern University, magna cum laude, and received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She is a member of the Employment Law Section of both the Texas State Bar and the Houston Bar Association, and she is a past-President and Treasurer of the American Petroleum Labor Lawyers Association.

Team: Jennifer Doud

Jennifer Doud has more than 15 years of legal experience, including 5 years as in-house counsel for a major multi-national oil and gas company where she focused on labor and employment matters, including internal investigations.  Since 2019, she has worked with Marla Moore, PLLC providing training and investigation services to the firm’s clients.  Jennifer graduated from Baylor University in 2002 and received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2005. 

Team: Dan Sullenbarger

Dan has 25 years of legal experience in a variety of positions as in-house counsel for a multi-national oil and gas corporation, and 13 years as a corporate officer leading Human Resources, Health, Environment & Safety, and Corporate Ethics and Compliance.  In his role as an attorney and corporate vice president, he participated in and led many internal investigations involving operational and accounting issues, safety and risk assessment matters, and employment issues.  Additionally, he has been a guest lecturer and instructor at the University of Houston Law Center.

Dan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University and his J.D. degree from Ohio Northern University.  He is a member of the Texas State Bar and licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
